You will look super cute and retro in these really cool vintage Levi cut offs. Dark blue denim with yellow stitching and button fly. High rise styling. Patch says 28W. Actually measures: waist 26-27”, inseam from waist to crotch in front 10” and in back 14”, legs 2.5-3”. My internet research suggests they were made between 1968 and 1969: –The Big “E” on the red tab was changed to “e” in 1971 (so pre-1971) –There is no “501xx” above the “501”, which was removed between 1968 and 1987. (so post-1968) –On back patch the letter “S” above the 501 was a lot number used 1968-1971 as a quality grading system. (so post-1968) –The “V” stitch is present at the waistband top button was done up until 1969. (so pre-1969) –The patch was butted against the belt loop. They started making patch with tear off section in 1969 and moved patch to the left to accommodate for this. (so pre-1969) All I know is that I got them as hand-me-downs from my cousin in 1975 and cut them short and slit the sides to wear with my halter top and rainbow platform flip flops. They have been in my childhood dresser at my grandparent’s house ever since. Time to pass them on… I took pictures indoors and out so you can get an accurate idea of color.
