Up for sale is this newly built Pico A10400 USB-C flash cartridge. The creator of this project is AOtta and you can find more info by doing a search for the following : GitHub – aotta/PicoA10400 : Atari 2600 and 7800 flash multicart based on Pico clone I made a couple of these for myself and a few friends and had some boards left over that I was able to built for anyone that may want one but don’t have the resources / time to do this. I designed the 3d printed case based on the original design, improving it a bit and have laser etched it for the label of it (see pics) This comes with some stuff on it, but if you want to add additional homebrew titles or some of the titles that you own, you can simply open the case to get access to the USB-C connector and connect it to your computer using a USB-C cable and it will come up as a normal external drive. There you can drag and drop your additional files. Please note that there are limitations to this cartridge and there is no guarantee that all games will work. In the testing I did most original release games work fine. Some homebrews will also work.However, there are some that don’t boot up, some that need a Pokey chip or extra ram. I still added the files incase there is a newer firmware that will allow those to work in the future. Another thing to note is that since the Atari has different timings the cart has to be powered on before the system is powered on. This is why the cart comes with a LIR2032 rechargeable coin cell battery in it. I recommend looking at the project for further information and support before purchasing. Insert cartridge on to console (A2600 or A7800) on the appropriate side that you wish to have games loaded. 2. Turn on the cartrige using the power button in the front, the LED should light up. 3. Turn on the console and you will see the menu on the screen. 4. Select your game, the cart will load it up and the screen will be blank/black. 5. Turn off the console, wait 1 to 3 seconds then turn the console back on, the game should appear on the screen if all directions were followed. To reset the cart to load a different game, simple hit the reset button on the side while the cart is powered on and the system is powered off, after hitting the reset button you can turn on the console and the menu should come up. Please, if you think this is too much of a work-around please avoid purchasing as I do not take returns (only on defective carts) If you ever need to update the FW on it, simply remove the top cover and press the botton on top while connecting it to your computer. If you need further assistance for that, you can get info on the GitHub. NOTE : The power button and power LED might not always be the same as pictured, they might be different colors depending on what I have available.
