What you see is what you’ll be receiving. If you observe the photographs above you’ll immediately see that this little Jaguar XKR Coupe by Hot Wheels (1:64 in scale size) is really in poor condition; I picked it up second hand and honestly probably wouldn’t normally have done so if it hadn’t been that it is an XKR (one of my favorite sports cars). This one when new was part of the ‘Motor Trend’ series, and again — while the images tell the story, I’m afraid — I’ll write down the main flaws of this car below. -1: The first thing and most noticeable thing about this XKR is that it has no hood. I have no idea how the previous owner(s) managed to rip the hood off, but that’s how it came to me and as it is now you at least get a nice view of the chrome colored V8 engine. -2: The second most unfortunate thing about this little car is that it is covered in paint chips and scratches almost everywhere; no matter where you look there will either be a tiny paint chip that you might not find too much of an issue or a larger paint chip that IS pretty noticeable. Even the Jaguar badges on both front fenders of the car are chipped (I don’t know if this is how it was originally or if it ended up like this because of the previous owners). -3: One of the two rear chrome colored exhaust pipes — the one on the left side — is damaged (it is somehow bent sideways). -4: And lastly but like I mentioned above in the caption of the listing: it has no original packaging or box to come along with it. It is completely loose but will be nicely wrapped if a purchase is made. As for the ‘positive’ side to things, this XKR still is pretty unusual — in-fact this is the first one like this I’ve ever seen or owned in all the time I’ve collected anything with wheels and an engine. So it must’ve been a limited edition Jaguar made in 1999, and aside from all the flaws it does still have a nice bright red exterior with a tan colored interior and a chrome colored V8 engine. It also has chrome colored hubcaps on all four wheels, a black chassis and colored headlights/taillights (which might sadly be scratched or chipped also). It rolls just fine and while it may not be the prettiest car in terms of condition it could still be a neat addition to any collection, be it for parts or as a restoration candidate.
