Both the box and lid are engineered with structural reinforcing ribs for durability. Precut pipe hole makes direct irrigation pipe connections more convenient than digging around the box. Inside, the box features a built-in bolt hole with brass nut; lid can be secured with a 2-1/2 in. X 3/8 in. bolt (113BB, sold separately). Overlapping cover blocks dirt and debris from getting into the box and is marked for recycled water usage. Convenient slot makes lid easy to lift with a flathead screwdriver. Valve box is made of polypropylene (PP) and lid is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), both using a 100% recycled materials. Box and cover are treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking due to sun exposure.
