Here are some comments from BRENT JESSEE RECORDING: “The white label Amperex PQ type or USN-CEP (same tube, the USN was made for the military) made in the USA are considered one of the best 7308 or 6922 types of all ever made.””The D-getter and pinch waist rare types are also highly regarded, and are very quiet as well. The orange label types run a close second.” The ultra-premium version, equivalent to ECC88 / 6DJ8 / 6922 / E188CC, 1965 vintage made in the USA, has gold pins. Test by GS-5A tube tester, the results tested by GS-5A usually are lower than they actually are, and still perfect. Tube #1:Ia: 14.8/14.6 Tube #2:Ia: 14.9/14.7 These Amperex 7308 stock tubes are bought from a Japanese many years ago, this pair has never been used since I bought them. They all come with white boxes and with the same code *5I or *5H.This bidding is for one pair. I’ve bought 5 pairs, all with *5I / *5H code, 2 pairs have been sold, last 1 pair for sale.In my opinion, these tubes should be New Old Stock, military tubes ran for many hours to test before being sent out.And we could never find 10 used tubes with the same code.This is just my opinion, you can make your decision based on your judgment.
