Please see my other listings.Description: A number of features render this a highly desirable piece of pressed steel. Steelcraft made this toy circa 1924, so it was produced during their first year or two of operation. The GMC cab design is modeled after actually trucks of that era, and render this piece both attractive, desirable, and of strong value. The tank mounted on the back has a reported liquid capacity of 3/4 of a gallon. There is a spout on the top of the tank, sealed with a hinged cap. At the bottom of the tank, on the passenger side, is a twist-spigot to discharge and liquids stored in the tank. There are rubber tires mounted on the steel wheels. The Blue/Grey color combination is the best I have seen among the small number of alternatives (Grey, Black). You will find a reference to this truck on page 289 in the “Collectors Guide to American Transportation Toys” by Joe and Sharon Freed.Condition: This toy is 100% original, offers excellent paint and a wonderful decal mounted on the dashboard. The tires have lost some tread, but these were thin by design and were manufactured that way. There is playwear. but a straight piece altogether.
